The explosive marital crisis between veteran television host Frank Edoho and his estranged wife, Sandra Onyenucheya, has taken a fresh legal turn. An entrepreneur identified as Adekoya Ibukunoluwa (also known as Monisola) has filed a massive ₦100 million defamation lawsuit against Sandra, dragging the messy public dispute straight into the courts.
The legal action, initiated through a memorandum of claim signed by Managing Partner Festus Ogun of FOLEGAL, accuses Sandra of libel, fraudulent misrepresentation, and severe breach of privacy. The lawsuit follows the messy social media fallout in May 2026, where Sandra—the CEO of Vivabella Designs—exposed alleged details of her husband’s infidelity, sharing private messages, videos, and photographs linking several women, including Adekoya, to Frank.
The Alleged ₦10m VGC Trap
According to the legal documents, the interaction between the broadcaster and the entrepreneur dates back to October 2023, when they met strictly by chance at the Hardrock Café in Lekki, Lagos. The two reportedly bonded over their shared love for Arsenal Football Club and exchanged contacts.
However, the lawsuit details a bizarre, movie-like trap allegedly orchestrated by Sandra a month later:
- The Fake Invitation: On November 19, 2023, Sandra allegedly impersonated Frank on WhatsApp, extending an invite to Adekoya to come to their residence in Victoria Garden City (VGC), Lagos, under the guise of an executive invitation backed by a ₦10 million offer.
- The Alleged Detainment: The legal team claims that Sandra, pretending to be Frank’s brother, physically picked Adekoya up and drove her to the home, where she was allegedly locked inside a room. According to the claim, when Frank was eventually woken up from his sleep, he expressed complete shock over the alleged affair and immediately apologized to Adekoya for the ambush.
Massive Cyberbullying and The ₦100m Demand
Adekoya’s legal representatives asserted that Sandra’s public posts—which included labels like “smelling prostitute”—were completely false, malicious, and strategically designed to destroy their client’s image. They noted that the viral nature of the posts subjected the entrepreneur to heavy cyberbullying, public ridicule, and immense reputational damage.
“Monisola’s lawyers described the posts as ‘blatantly false, mischievous and misleading,’ claiming they damaged their client’s reputation by portraying her as a ‘prostitute, sex worker and a person of questionable character’.”
The lawsuit formally seeks a total of ₦100 million in damages, an unreserved public apology, a total retraction of the defamatory claims, and an injunction preventing Sandra from making further publications. However, giving room for a quieter exit, Adekoya’s legal team has offered an out-of-court settlement option. For the matter to be dropped, Sandra must delete all the offending materials, issue a public apology admitting to the WhatsApp impersonation of her husband, and pay a reduced sum of ₦20 million in damages.
This fresh lawsuit adds to an already complicated legal landscape for the Edoho family, as Frank himself had previously announced that all allegations levied against him by his ex-wife—including physical abuse and financial misconduct—are completely false and have already been handed over to the courts and relevant investigative authorities.
