“How to Ruin Christmas” actor Busisiwe Lurayi has died, aged 36.
Busisiwe Lurayi was pronounced dead at her residence on Sunday by medical personnel. Her family issued a statement saying that the cause of her death was yet to be determined.

The statement read: “We humbly request that you allow us as the family time to come to terms with this tragic news.”
Her co-stars and compatriots took to Twitter to share their heartfelt condolences.
Busisiwe Lurayi first starred in 2005 on SABC 1’s sitcom City Ses’la as the ever-so-cheeky Phumzile. Her efforts saw her win awards for this role.
She bagged two South African Film and Television Awards, the Golden Horn Award for Best Supporting Actress in a TV Comedy in 2006.
Busisiwe acted as Tumi in the Netflix comedy series “How To Ruin Christmas”
Netflix also released a statement following Lurayi’s passing:
“We are deeply saddened by the tragic passing of Busi Lurayi and send our deepest condolences to her family and loved ones.”
