Canada were left with regrets after their opening game against Belgium at the World Cup ended in a narrow 1-0 defeat.

The Canadians had a first half penalty saved by Thibaut Courtois and though they gave the Belgians a good run for their money, it’s was Michy Batshuayi first half goal that stood as the eventually difference between both sides.
The result leaves Belgium at the top of Group F with three points, after Morocco and Croatia played out a goal less draw, while Canada are at the bottom of the group, for the time being.
