The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, asserts that opposition to and protests against government policies are not unique to Nigeria.
Ganduje stated this while hosting certain party leaders from the United States of America on Wednesday in response to the continuing protest in Abuja.
The national head of the APC promised that Nigeria’s current problems will soon be resolved, pointing out that even established economies experience difficulties.
“There is no doubt, as a developing country, even the so called developed economies have their turbulence in one way or the other.
“So, it is not surprising that Nigeria is having its own share of the problem. This is not the first time.
“You will recall that whenever there is a reform agenda, obstacles must be on the way, as a result, people must suffer in one way or the other.
“But, in the long run, everything will be according to the plan,” the APC national chairman assured Nigerians.
Additionally, he highlighted that President Bola Tinubu entered office intending to enact reforms that would ensure the future of the nation. He clarified that the nation lacked strong institutions and added that the government’s beneficial programs could not be carried out without strong institutions.

Ganduje gave the populace the assurance that President Tinubu was taking all necessary steps to safeguard the nation’s future in everyone’s best interests.
He expressed hope that because Tinubu was putting a lot of effort into the economy, the nation will soon overcome its current difficulties.
“Today they came from one of the farthest places in the world, from the U.S. to show commitment, love and loyalty that they are truly Nigerians serving abroad and we are highly delighted with that.
“From history, we have checked, since the time of military politics down to today, some of you have been in such associations that led into political parties.
“So, there is no doubt that you are committed party men and women, and we appreciate your coming,” Ganduje said.
Leader of the delegation, Prof. Adesegun Ladejo, stated that the group was at the party secretariat to demonstrate support for the leadership and the Tinubu-led government despite the obstacles. The purpose of their travel, he added, was to also improve their relationship with the party’s national leadership. He stated that this was despite the discouragement they had received from some Nigerians living abroad.
