Nollywood actress Bisola Badmus has been promised a trip abroad for her brain surgery and, likewise, a scholarship to cover her son’s education through university.
Bisola Badmus has opened up about her challenges co-parenting with her son’s father, King Wasiu Ayinde, better known as K1 or Kwam1.
The actress revealed her struggles during an interview with fellow actress, Biola Bayo, where she also disclosed her battle with a brain tumor.
During the interview, Bisola spoke about a series of personal tragedies, sharing that within a few years, she lost her father, mother, and younger brother.
Speaking about her relationship with Kwam1, she revealed that she initially kept her health condition from him but eventually informed him.
While he offered some support at first, he has since stopped responding to her calls.
“Initially, I didn’t tell my baby daddy (K1) about my sickness (brain tumor), but he later got to know. He tried for a while but he is not responding to me anymore. All I want him to do is take care of the responsibilities of our son, Malik. I have been trying to cope, but it’s not easy,” she said.
Upon her revelation, Actor Kunle Afod known for his charitable work supporting veteran Yoruba actors, rallied support for his ailing colleague, Bisola Badmus.
Afod’s efforts led to a remarkable N1.3 million raised within just 24 hours, highlighting the generosity within the Nigerian film industry and among fans globally.
Inspired by their kindness, Kunle later returned to Bisola’s home to present the donation. Upon arrival, he was joined by fellow actors, including Kemi Korede and Foluke Daramola, among others.
In a recent development, Biola Bayo announced that a good Samaritan has offered to sponsor Bisola Badmus’ brain surgery in any country of her choice. Also, her son Malik’s school fees have been paid all through his secondary school, and he has also received a scholarship from his University from a different sponsor.
Biola Bayo shared;
“PLEASE NOTE, THIS IS NOT WHAT I PROMISED TO ANNOUNCE AT 6 PM.
Malik’s school fees have been paid, all through his secondary school. He also has a scholarship all through his university by another person entirely. All other help or donations will be channeled towards Bisola’s well-being. Kindly say a word of prayer for these beautiful women.
We equally got a volunteer who promised to send Bisola abroad for her brain surgery (either to the USA, UK, or India) anywhere in the world where they specialize in that kind of surgery. All expenses shall be paid by him. The decision is left to Bisola and family to take.
This is just to update you all and to say thank you for all the love and support we’ve been getting.
Please let’s keep Bisola and Mr Abiba in our prayers as we’re still waiting on the hospital for a (perfect) matching donor as soon as possible.”
