Europa League: Man Utd share the spoil against Twente

Manchester United failed to open their Europa League campaign with a win as Twente held them to a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford.

Christian Eriksen put Ten Hag’s side ahead before the break but after the break, they failed to improve on that, and Eriksen’s son turned to the villain as his error gave Sam Lammers room to pull an equalizer in the 68th minute.

United had lots of opportunities to get back in the game and bag all three points but they were unavailable to take their chances.

United’s next Europa League game is against Porto on October 3 but before then, they’ll billed to take on Tottenham in the Premier League on Sunday and they’ll be hoping to bounce back from Wednesday’s disappointment.
