BBNaija housemate, Kellyrae has emerged as the winner of the Season 9 reality TV show, securing the grand prize of ₦100 million.
The ‘No Loose Guard’ edition which started out 78 days ago saw 28 housemates divided into 14 pairs of dynamic duos which consisted of lovers, an aunt and her niece, best friends, twins, and even a married couple.
The show sure promised a lot of drama and thrilling sessions until the grand finale which started with eight finalists, leaving Kellyrae and Waani as the two finalists.
First, to be evicted was Sooj, followed by Anita, Ozzy, Nelly, and Victoria in that order.
KellyRae was formerly part of the duo DoubleKay, which included his wife Kassia finally emerged as the winner of the season, clinching the N100 million prize.
During the announcement, Kellyrae expressed his shock to the host, Ebuka, about their historic victory, stating that their win marks the first time a couple has ever triumphed in the show’s history.
Fans erupted in cheers as he made the statement, celebrating the monumental achievement. His colleagues also stormed backstage to celebrate winning the show with the couple.
Notably among them was Shaun who had opined that Kellyrae doesn’t do much on the show.
