UCL: Own goal earns Arsenal win against Shakhtar

A 29th-minute own goal by Shakhtar Donetsk’s keeper,  Dmytro Riznyk was enough to give Arsenal a much-needed win in their Champions League encounter at the Emirates.

The Gunners held on the lead and could have gone two up late on, but Leandro Trossard had a penalty saved by Riznky, making himself quite easily the center of attention for the night with an own goal in the first half and a penalty save in the second.

The result was a necessary own for Arteta’s side who suffered defeat to Bournemouth in the EPL over the weekend, as they move their attention to the EPL cracker against Liverpool on Sunday.
