Liverpool had to work their way back in both halves of Sunday’s clash against Arsenal to squeeze out a 2-2 draw at the Emirates Stadium.
It took Virgil van Dijk nine minutes to level things after Bukayo Saka’s early goal put the hosts in front, before Mikel Merino, restored the lead a few minutes into the break.
Mikel Arteta’s men held on to the lead and looked poised to bag the win, but Mohamed Salah found the back of the net, nine minutes to stoppage time, denting Arsenal’s hopes.
The result leaves Arsenal in third place, four points behind Liverpool who are second on the log, a point behind leaders, Manchester City.
