May Edochie, the estranged wife of Nollywood actor Yul Edochie, recently left many women in tears as she gave an emotional speech at the just concluded women’s network retreat, NHN Women Network Conference, in Doha, Qatar.
In the viral video which has been circulating online, May was ushered on stage, and in an emotional address, she supposedly recounted the devastating period of losing her first son, Kambilichukwu, amid the collapse of her marriage.
May spoke on the death of her first son, Kambilichukwu, while she was going through a public divorce, which left not only her but many women, including actress Shaffy Bello, in tears.
Reacting to it in a lengthy post on her Instagram page, Rita Edochie noted how women are strong pillars. However, May has proved to be a shining example of resilience and strength. Rita stated that May’s determination and passion inspire her and countless others.
She prayed that God would continue to be her strength, as she encouraged May to continue inspiring and lifting souls. Expressing her love for her, she wrote;
“MY GREAT DARLING DAUGHTER, QUEEN MAY YUL-EDOCHIE, WAS INVITED TO GRACE THE BEAUTIFUL AND IMPACTING EVENT OF THE NIGERIAN WOMEN NETWORK RETREAT!
IT WAS A PACKED PROGRAM OF DEEP EMOTIONS AS QUEEN YUL MAY EDOCHIE SHARED HER STORIES, VIEWS, IDEAS, AND OPINIONS ON LIFE, WHICH WERE EXTREMELY TRANSFORMATIVE, INSPIRING, AND UPLIFTING.

It is no longer news that 2022 and 2023 wasn’t the best of years for May as she lost her husband to another woman and her first son, Kambilichukwu.
This isn’t the first time, May Edochie has broken down at an event. Back in May, she was seen emotionally sharing her struggles and sacrifices she made, which had all become in vain. She revealed that, at some point, the world had expected her to wallow in self-pity, but she had to pick herself back up.
