Copa del Rey: Extra time victory earns Madrid quarter finals place

Real Madrid dug deep into extra time to snatch a win against Celta Vigo and book a place in the quarter finals of the Copa del Rey.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side fumbled a 2-0 lead late into stoppage time, dragging the game into extra time and were in desperate need of a favourable turn around, bearing in mind last weekend’s humiliating Super Cup final defeat Barcelona.

Lucky enough, Brazilian youngster, Endrick, came off the bench to inspire a come back in the second half of extra time, as his brace and Federico Valverde’s now signature belter secured a 5-2 win for the Spanish giants.

The quarter finals draw is scheduled to hold on Monday with Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Valencia, Leganes and Getafe all in the mix.
