“I was pregnant with twins but suffered a miscarriage last year” – Annie Idibia tearfully opens up

Nollywood actress Annie Idibia has emotionally opened up about losing twins on the popular hit reality show Young Famous and African.

While speaking to one of her co-stars, Quinton Masina, aka Naked DJ, she revealed that she suffered a miscarriage while pregnant with twins one year ago. Annie stated that this was the reason she wasn’t showing up so much on the show and attending events.

A heartbroken Annie described 2024 as a really hard year for her and her family and admitted that she wished she had someone in the house to open up to.

“You know like, the whole of last year, even in the group, you know I wasn’t coming out enough. Naked, I was pregnant. For twins. I had a miscarriage the whole time.

“I wish I had someone in this group that I could actually go like, ‘I’m pregnant, we’re going to have a baby’… And then, we lost that. It was hard.”

Her revelation rather triggered backlash instead of remorse as Netizens queried why she would still get pregnant despite having grown up children, others questioned if she wasn’t too old to be pregnant.

In a similar news, barely a few episodes into season three of Young, Famous & African, viewers call for the replacement/removal of Annie Idibia from the reality show.

Critics cite concerns over her mental health and clashes with co-stars Zari Hassan and Ini Edo, which have sparked widespread debate online.

A heated moment on the show saw Annie involved in confrontations with both Zari and Ini amongst other reasons, leading to criticism from viewers.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), a user identified as @Oyinash_ wrote, “Please get Annie Idibia off Young, Famous & African. It’s not healthy for her and it’s not healthy for us, the viewers, either. This is insane. Asides her being a horrible person, she’s also being bullied. Please, it’s enough.”

The post quickly triggered reactions from fans who expressed similar sentiments. Many alleged that Annie might be experiencing a mental breakdown or accused her of being under the influence of drugs while filming.
