Noni Madueke had set Chelsea off to a hopeful start with an early goal three minutes into the game.
The hosts kept the pressure on and eventually got an equality a few minutes before halftime.
After the break, in the 68th minute, Erling Haaland maximize a howler from Chelsea’s keeper, Robert Sanchez to put City ahead.
