Actress Annie Idibia has reportedly been admitted to a rehabilitation centre following the public announcement of her separation from her husband, legendary musician 2Baba.
This was made known by controversial blogger, Stella Dimoko Korkus, who revealed that Annie is currently in a “very bad state.”
According to the blogger, the actress is being cared for by her close friends and co-stars, singer Tiwa Savage and media personality Toke Makinwa.
The post read:
“Actress Annie Idibia is in a very bad state and allegedly currently in rehab. Insiders reveal that it is very very bad, and the two people allegedly currently taking care of her are Singer Tiwa Savage and Media Girl Toke Makinwa… May God heal her.”
Fans and well-wishers have since taken to social media to express their concern for Annie, wishing her strength and recovery during this challenging time. Neither Annie Idibia nor her representatives have made an official statement about the reports.
2Baba publicly confirmed their separation, with the finalization of their divorce reportedly underway. The news has since triggered series of reactions and backlash, considering the couple’s history and marital struggles and challenges.
In a fresh post on Monday,Toke slammed 2Face for choosing the moment Annie Idibia is being scrutinized by the public over her appearance on the latest season of the reality TV show, The Young Famous and African, to announce their divorce.
According to Toke, the singer is adding to the negative narrative about Annie that is in the public. She further berated him for lacking empathy despite preaching about love every other time.
Toke wrote, “Nobody is asking anybody to stay in a situation that’s not serving them any purpose anymore. By all means leave if you must, but why bring this online this very moment?
We know what’s going on behind closed doors, the world doesn’t know anything. It’s already been hectic with opinions flying around.
A handful of people know the truth and time will tell. Timing is everything, empathy is everything.
You constantly preach love. You cannot add to the narrative that’s out there when you know what is happening exactly behind closed doors.”
Social media commentator Sir Dickson has shared his own two cents, stating that Annie cannot keep playing the victim card, as 2Baba is no longer willing to endure their marriage.
He argued that 2Baba’s decision to end the marriage is valid and personal, just as Annie’s choice to stay despite the challenges was her own. Dickson dismissed the narrative of Annie being a victim, adding that there have been rumors of her alleged violent behaviour in the marriage.
Dickson also criticized people who stay in toxic relationships under the guise of marriage, stating that Annie’s refusal to leave the marriage earlier was her decision, and she should take accountability for it.

“We accept the love we think we deserve. Annie suffered with him. What exactly did she suffer with him? She has never been rich herself. 2Baba is the one with the money. If you’re talking about infidelity, she CHOSE to stay with him knowing he loves to sleep around. He has never hidden the fact he can’t stick to one woman. She is not a victim.”
“2face choosing not to stay with her for his own reason is valid. He doesn’t have to stay with her simply because she chose to stay with him. Her reason for choosing him is personal. His reason for quitting is personal. There are rumors she is a violent person anyway.”
