Nigerian street sensation, Seyi Vibes has hit a major milestone on Billboard Afrobeat chart with his new EP, Children of Africa, and “SHAOLIN”.
The release of the EP two weeks ago has generated buzz among fans and the industry at large.
In an update shared by Album Talks on X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday, March 4, it was revealed that all tracks from ‘Children of Africa’ debuted on the chart.

Talking about his latest single, ‘SHAOLIN’, and how he uses his music to share his story, and his experimental new sound, Seyi said:
“I was being experimental and I just wanted the beats to feel lively. I didn’t want something normal. I wanted something techno. I wanted something I could rave to, because I feel like my energy is a raving energy. That’s how I feel inside of me. I think it’s my new vibe. So on this day, my producer just sent me a beat. I was up by myself in London and I recorded the song.”
Beyond the Afrobeats chart success, the EP has also secured the number eight spot on the Billboard World Albums Chart, making it Seyi Vibez’s highest-charting project to date, surpassing his previous release, NAHAMciaga.

Among the standout tracks, Shaolin landed at number six, followed by ‘Mario Kart’ at number seven. Happy Song secured the ninth spot, while Macho, featuring American rapper NLE Choppa, debuted at number ten.
