Nigerian singer and songwriter, Raoul John Njeng-Njeng, popularly known as Skales, has taken to social media to express his disappointment over the betrayal he has faced in the music industry. The Afrobeat artist hinted at revealing the untold story of how some individuals he helped rise to fame turned their backs on him.
In a heartfelt post on his Twitter page, Skales shared his struggles, emphasizing the importance of faith and resilience. He credited his late mother for instilling in him the belief that trusting God is the key to overcoming life’s challenges.

“One day I’ll sit down and tell you a story of how a lot of people turned their backs on me, including people I helped build up in this industry. But guess what? God never failed me even when I was isolated… Don’t you ever stop praying and trusting God with everything you’ve got… Best advice my mom gave me!!!” he wrote.
Skales, who has been a key figure in the Nigerian music scene for over a decade, has experienced both the triumphs and trials that come with the industry. From his early days at EME (Empire Mates Entertainment) alongside Wizkid to forging his own path with hits like Shake Body and Temper, he has consistently proven his resilience.
However, his recent post suggests that his journey has not been without hardships. The singer’s cryptic message has left fans speculating about the artists he might be referring to and the extent of the betrayal he faced.
