“I’m Not Cheating Again” — Davido Opens Up on Love, Loss, and Growth

Afrobeats superstar Davido has vowed to stop cheating on his wife with any other woman as he has chosen to stay away from trouble.

In a recent interview on The Breakfast Club, the singer made a bold vow that he is done with cheating and is fully committed to his wife, Chioma Rowland.

The Unavailable hitmaker revealed that he is a father of five children from four different women but emphasized that he’s turned a new leaf and wants no more “wahala” in his life.

“I don’t want any wahala. I have 5 kids with 4 women. I am not cheating again… Maybe I’ve had a bad experience. Sometimes experience is the best teacher. It’s not worth it,” Davido confessed.

During the emotional conversation, Davido reflected on one of the darkest times in his life — the tragic loss of his son Ifeanyi Adeleke, who passed away in 2022. He and Chioma later welcomed a set of twins, a boy and a girl, who, according to Davido, resemble Ifeanyi in the most uncanny ways.

“We’ve got twins now, a boy and a girl, and the boy looks exactly like my son who passed. They act the same. Everything he used to do, he does. My wife and I always say our late son came back.”

He also spoke about the incredible support he received from both his family and Chioma’s during the difficult period, especially his father, who paused his business activities just to be there for him.

Davido didn’t shy away from admitting that Chioma holds a powerful place in his life — one that goes beyond love. He explained that she has always had a strong influence on him, even from a young age, and that something negative happens to his business whenever they have a disagreement

“My wife has always had this thing over me since we were young. Every time I fight her, something bad happens to my business,” he said with a laugh.

“She would say, ‘You are fighting me, abi? Don’t worry. Shebi your album is coming and you want to fight me?’ She has that grace.”
