Popular Nollywood actress Annie Macaulay has finalized her divorce from legendary singer 2Baba Idibia. The news, although expected after their quiet separation earlier in January 2025, still comes as a big moment for fans who followed their journey as one of Nigeria’s most admired celebrity couples.
Annie and 2Baba tied the knot in 2012 and share two daughters together. For years, they represented love and resilience in the eyes of many, despite the ups and downs that came with their union. But now, the chapter has officially closed. According to Cutie Juls, a well-known entertainment blogger, Annie recently signed the divorce papers, confirming that the separation is now final.
Since the split, Annie has been showing up strong. She’s been seen at public events looking confident and glowing, while 2Baba has also been in the news with his new partner, Natasha Osawaru.
In an unexpected but sweet move, Annie’s fans came together to launch a fan page in her honor. Calling themselves the Navies, the group refers to her as “Our Queen” and has been flooding the internet with support and love. Their first post was a video of Annie, captioned: “Show me a more beautiful Queen than our Annie! Our Queen is too beautiful!” Annie didn’t just notice, she reshared the page on her Instagram story, followed the account, and even liked the post.
The fan community is growing fast, and so are the reactions. Many fans have asked that Annie completely drop the “Idibia” from her name and embrace “Macaulay” fully as she starts this new chapter.
