Veteran Nollywood actress Jumoke George has finally reunited with her long-lost daughter, Adeola, after four years of separation. The emotional moment followed weeks of public concern and behind-the-scenes efforts to bring Adeola back home safely.
Jumoke recently opened up during an emotional interview on the Talk to B podcast with fellow actress Biola Adebayo, where she revealed that Adeola, who had been living with her grandmother in Ibadan, vanished after saying she was travelling to Lagos. The revelation sparked public sympathy and led to a wider call for help.

In a surprising twist, Adeola was later found to be in Mali, where she had been trafficked and stranded without valid documents. Following Jumoke’s viral plea, Adebayo reached out to the Nigerian Embassy in Mali and the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM) for assistance. The Commission’s chairman, Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, swiftly intervened, ensuring that arrangements were made to bring Adeola back to Nigeria.
On Monday, May 19, 2025, Dabiri-Erewa announced on X (formerly Twitter) that Adeola had successfully returned home. In a now-viral video, Jumoke George was seen breaking down in tears, sitting on the ground and holding her daughter tightly in a heartfelt embrace after years of uncertainty.
Dabiri-Erewa, who received Adeola alongside Biola Adebayo and actor Adeniyi Johnson, wrote:
“Breaking! Adeola, daughter of popular actress, Jumoke George, who cried out that she had not heard from her daughter in four years is back home, from Mali where she was trafficked to.”
The reunion has been met with overwhelming support from fans and well-wishers, many of whom have praised the efforts of those involved in bringing mother and daughter back together.
