I’m Not Sick – Ice Prince Speaks on Drastic Weight Loss

Nigerian singer and rapper Ice Prince has explained the reason behind his drastic weight loss, assuring fans that he is not sick.

The ‘Oleku’ star revealed that his excess belly weight was the result of unhealthy lifestyle habits. Encouragement from family and friends, however, motivated him to take action.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Monday, Ice Prince credited producer Chopstix for supporting him through his weight loss journey. He shared:

“God so good inna me life… A short story!
I was literally about to explode… no sickness (Bless God), just bad habits and choices. But then Chopstix and Dami said, ‘Let’s lose the belly, Ice,’ and that sparked something in my brain. From that moment, Chopstix started coming to my house every day after dinner, and we walked my estate for an hour. The conversations we had during those walks are priceless, covering everything we’ve discussed since we were kids. Buss a shot fa ma true fren.”

Ice Prince’s journey reflects a growing trend among Nigerian celebrities making headlines for major weight transformations.

In 2022, former plus-sized actress Eniola Badmus lost an impressive 80 kilograms, going from 170kg to 90kg. Earlier this year, actress Mercy Johnson-Okojie revealed that her dramatic weight loss was due to a thyroid operation, which had sparked concerns about cancer.

His story is a reminder that with determination, lifestyle changes, and support from loved ones, achieving a healthier self is possible—without any underlying illness.
