Stanley Ontop Demands Peggy Ovire’s Arrest After CCTV Shows Alleged Assault on Actor Taye Arimoro

Popular Nollywood actor Stanley Ontop has called for the immediate arrest of actress and filmmaker Peggy Ovire after a viral CCTV video allegedly showed her physically assaulting fellow actor Taye Arimoro.

The call for action came on Thursday, shortly after the footage began circulating on social media.

Earlier reports revealed that the CCTV recording captured the moment Peggy Ovire and members of her production crew confronted and assaulted Arimoro during a film shoot. The incident reportedly occurred after the actor declined to continue filming past 12 a.m., stating that his contract with Peggy had already expired for the day.

Despite initially denying the allegations, Peggy had claimed that it was Arimoro who attacked her driver—a claim now contradicted by the video evidence.

Reacting to the new development, Stanley Ontop took to his Instagram page to condemn the assault and demand accountability. Tagging the Nigeria Police Force, he emphasized that no actor should be subjected to bullying or violence in the course of their work.

In his post, he wrote:

“Dear @nigeriapoliceforce, a Nollywood actor called @tayearimoro was assaulted by a producer, Peggy, and her driver. The actor refused to shoot beyond 12 am because the contract he had with Peggy had already expired. Instead of Peggy pleading with him, she assaulted him and also told her driver to assault him too, which resulted in a serious injury.”
