Klint Da Drunk Reveals How 2Baba’s Voice Made Him Quit Music for Comedy

Lagos, Nigeria – Veteran comedian Afamefuna Klint Igwemba, widely known as Klint Da Drunk, has opened up about the surprising turning point that pushed him away from music and into the world of comedy. Speaking in a recent interview, Klint explained that his original ambition was to build a career as a musician during his days at the Institute of Management Technology (IMT), Enugu.

According to him, everything changed the moment he encountered Innocent Idibia, now famously known as 2Baba. Klint recalled attending a campus event where 2Baba was performing. The instant he heard the singer’s voice, he said he felt an overwhelming sense of clarity about his own path.

He admitted that the experience shook him so deeply that he walked out of the hall and eventually abandoned his music aspirations altogether. Klint noted, “I left the hall. I didn’t know that my style and 2Face’s style were different. If I had known, I would have continued making music. But thank God I didn’t continue. I like where I am.”

His decision ultimately paid off. Klint Da Drunk has grown into one of Nigeria’s most beloved comedians, celebrated for his unique character, sharp wit, and long-standing contribution to the entertainment industry.
