“Obi as VP? Never!” — Aisha Yesufu Drops Bombshell, Vows to Sabotage Any 2027 Ticket With Peter Obi as Number Two

Outspoken socio-political activist and ADC chieftain Aisha Yesufu has sent a clear, fiery warning to the “Obidient” movement and the opposition coalition: Peter Obi must be the pilot, not the co-pilot.

In a video currently setting social media on fire, Yesufu made her stance crystal clear. If the 2023 Labour Party sensation—who recently officially defected to the African Democratic Congress (ADC)—accepts a Vice Presidential slot for 2027, she is prepared to go to war against that ticket.

Yesufu, known for her uncompromising stance during the #EndSARS protests and the 2023 elections, isn’t holding back. She argues that Peter Obi is the “gold standard” of the current aspirants and should not settle for anything less than the Presidency.

“I’m giving you people my word. If Peter Obi emerges as a running mate to anyone, I will work against that ticket,” Yesufu declared. “In my little capacity, I will work against them… Why are we always asking the best to be the second?”

The timing of this “vow” is no accident. Speculation is reaching fever pitch that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar is eyeing the ADC flagbearer ticket as part of a grand “rescue mission” coalition to unseat President Bola Tinubu.

Political insiders suggest a “dream team” 2.0 (revisiting their 2019 partnership) could be in the works. However, Yesufu’s ultimatum adds a major hurdle to those plans:

  • The Atiku Factor: Can the veteran politician step down for Obi?
  • The “Obidient” Dilemma: Will Obi’s massive youth following accept him as a deputy again?
  • The ADC Strategy: With the party now a magnet for opposition leaders, the battle for the top spot is becoming a “Rumble in the Jungle.”

Peter Obi has officially joined the ADC, moving alongside South-East heavyweights like Victor Umeh and Enyinnaya Abaribe. This move marks the end of his era with the Labour Party and the start of a consolidated opposition front.

But as Aisha Yesufu’s viral video proves, the biggest fight isn’t just against the APC—it’s an internal battle for who leads the charge.
