The dust from last year’s glamour hasn’t fully settled, but the stage is already being set for the next big celebration of African cinema. Africa Magic, in association with MultiChoice, has officially opened entries for the 12th edition of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA)!
If you’re a filmmaker, producer, or content creator whose work lit up screens in 2025, this is your moment to step into the spotlight.
What’s New for AMVCA 12?
This year, the AMVCAs are expanding their reach across the continent even further. In a major move to promote Pan-Africanism, two new indigenous language categories have been introduced:
- Best Indigenous Language – North Africa
- Best Indigenous Language – Central Africa
These additions mean the AMVCAs now officially celebrate storytelling across every major region of Africa, ensuring that diverse voices and cultural heritages are recognized on the global stage.
