WEF 2026: VP Kashim Shettima Unveils “Nigeria House Davos” to Boost Foreign Investment

igeria is making a historic splash at the 56th Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland. Leading the high-powered delegation, Vice President Kashim Shettima has arrived to launch the first-ever “Nigeria House Davos,” a dedicated sovereign pavilion designed to reposition Africa’s largest economy on the global stage.+1

As global leaders gather under the theme “A Spirit of Dialogue,” Nigeria is shifting from mere participation to strategic deal-making.

For the first time in over five decades of attending the World Economic Forum, the Federal Government has established a physical “Home” on the prestigious Davos Promenade.

Created through a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) involving the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment, and private sector giants like Pinnacle and the Africa Finance Corporation, Nigeria House serves as:

  • A Sovereign Pavilion: A permanent hub for investment roundtables and bilateral talks.
  • A Deal-Making Center: A space to convert “global interest” into bankable transactions.
  • A Cultural Showcase: A platform to export Nigeria’s creative economy, including film and music.

The establishment of Nigeria House Davos signals a shift toward policy clarity. By engaging directly with CEOs of multinational corporations and development finance institutions (DFIs), VP Shettima aims to shorten deal cycles and attract the Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) needed to drive infrastructure and job creation.+1

As Vice President Shettima engages in high-level plenary sessions on AI and biotechnology, the message is clear: Nigeria is open for business. Nigeria House Davos isn’t just a building; it’s a statement of confidence and a roadmap for a resilient, inclusive future
