In a video he posted online, the controversial musician said America “did not favor” him and that all he ended up with were criminal records rather than the “American Dream” he once hoped for.

Speed Darlington explained that despite spending over two decades in the US, he didn’t achieve the success or recognition he wanted. Instead, his time abroad was marked by repeated arrests and legal issues, leaving him with a trail of criminal records that he says did nothing for his career or life goals.
He contrasted his American experience with his life in Nigeria, saying that it was in his home country that he found opportunities, built his mansion, and gained confidence. According to Darlington, his achievements — including the wealth he used to build his home — came from the success he has enjoyed in Nigeria, not from his life in the US.
