Nollywood Legend Eucharia Anunobi Opens Up on Marriage Heartbreak and Surviving Grief

Veteran Nollywood actress and evangelist Eucharia Anunobi left fans in tears this morning following a deeply emotional interview where she revisited the most traumatic chapters of her life.

The movie legend, known for her powerful roles and even more powerful faith, didn’t hold back as she recounted the painful details of her failed marriage. She described the union as a period of significant emotional turmoil, marked by abandonment and the struggle of being a single parent in the public eye.

However, the most heart-wrenching moment of the interview came when she discussed the death of her only child, Raymond Ekwu, who passed away in 2017 at the age of 15. With tears in her eyes, Anunobi alleged that his death was not just a result of his battle with sickle cell anemia, but was accelerated by medical negligence.

“My son was mistakenly killed by the doctor,” she stated, detailing how a routine procedure allegedly went wrong due to a lack of professional care. She described the agony of watching her “best friend” slip away due to what she calls a “criminal” oversight by healthcare providers.

Despite the immense loss, the actress shared how her faith has been her only anchor. She encouraged others dealing with “silent battles” to find strength in a higher power, even when the world seems to be crumbling.

Social media has been flooded with messages of support for the veteran, with many calling for better accountability in the Nigerian healthcare system and praising her for her resilience.
