A high-powered delegation of Nollywood veterans has officially endorsed Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji for a second term, following a comprehensive three-day independent assessment tour of his administration’s projects.

The group, led by Yomi Fash Lansho, concluded their tour today, Sunday, April 5, 2026, expressing “total satisfaction” with the developmental strides across the state. The endorsement comes as Ekiti prepares for its upcoming gubernatorial election scheduled for June 20, 2026, where Oyebanji has already been affirmed as the consensus candidate for the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The Assessment Tour

The stars clarified that their visit was not a paid political stunt but a fact-finding mission to evaluate the “Renewed Hope” agenda on the ground. The delegation included:

Key Projects Inspected:

The team visited various strategic sites across Ado Ekiti and surrounding local government areas, including:

  • Infrastructure: The 18km Ring Road (Phase 1), the 1.2km Okeyinmi-Ijigbo flyover bridge, and the Ekiti Cargo Airport.
  • Healthcare: Revamped general hospitals in Ilupeju, Ayede, Iye, Ifaki, and Okemesi.
  • Economic Hubs: The Adire Hub, Skill Acquisition Centre for Persons with Disabilities, and the Broiler Hub Technical Centre.
  • Tourism: The Ikogosi Warm Springs, where they praised the restoration of the world-class tourist site.

Speaking on behalf of the group, Yomi Fash Lansho commended the Governor for his “giant strides” in social investment and agriculture, noting that the reality in Ekiti exceeded their expectations. He urged the people of Ekiti to ensure the continuity of these projects by supporting the Governor’s re-election bid.
