The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has found itself at the center of a high-stakes legal tug-of-war as the race for 2027 intensifies. Despite a recent Federal High Court ruling that briefly stalled his momentum, National Chairman David Mark declared on Wednesday night, April 29, 2026, that the party’s place on the ballot is “non-negotiable.”
The former Senate President’s defiant stance comes as the party grapples with an internal leadership crisis that has split the ADC into two main factions.
The Legal Stand-Off

- The High Court Blow: A Federal High Court in Abuja recently barred the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) from recognizing the congresses conducted by the David Mark-led faction.
