With the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) officially commencing an indefinite strike today, Monday, June 1, 2026, to protest the captivity of their colleagues and pupils, the cleric’s warning arrives at a boiling point. The situation grew even more tense after a distressing video emerged from captivity showing the abducted principal, Mrs. Rachael Alamu, pleading for urgent government intervention amidst freezing nights and scorching days.
Pastor Jerry Eze strongly admonished political leaders to move past reactionary visits—such as the recent high-powered federal delegation led by Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila—and implement impenetrable, proactive campus security.
