“Enough is Enough” — Federal Government Demands Accountability and Prosecution of Killers of Nigerians in SA

The Federal Government of Nigeria has strongly condemned the tragic killing of two Nigerian citizens in South Africa, demanding an immediate, transparent investigation and urgent justice from South African authorities. In an official statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the government expressed deep sadness and outrage over the recurring, unwarranted attacks on Nigerians living in South Africa, emphasizing that the protection of Nigerian lives and property abroad remains an uncompromised priority for the administration.

The government urged the South African law enforcement agencies to act swiftly in apprehending and prosecuting the perpetrators of this heinous crime to prevent a resurgence of diplomatic tensions and xenophobic hostilities between the two nations. While appealing to the Nigerian community in South Africa to remain calm, law-abiding, and peaceful as the diplomatic channels handle the situation, the Federal Government stressed that it will continue to engage constructively yet firmly with Pretoria to ensure the safety, welfare, and fundamental human rights of all Nigerians residing in the country are fully guaranteed.
