The high-profile political presentation, which took place during a strategic consultative meeting at the palace of the Awujale and Paramount Ruler of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona, in Ijebu-Ode, serves as an official endorsement of Senator Adeola following his emergence as the consensus governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) caucus in the state. Governor Abiodun, whose second term concludes in 2027, introduced Yayi to the traditional rulers to seek their institutional blessings, royal backing, and spiritual guidance, cementing a seamless succession plan within the ruling party’s structure.
