Youth members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have reaffirmed their commitment to supporting the implementation of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s renewable energy agenda, describing the initiative as an important step toward expanding sustainable energy access, creating jobs, and driving economic growth across Nigeria. During a stakeholders’ engagement, the youth representatives expressed their readiness to participate in awareness campaigns, community outreach, and programmes that encourage the adoption of clean and renewable energy solutions. They noted that increased investment in renewable energy has the potential to improve electricity access, reduce dependence on fossil fuels, promote environmental sustainability, and open new opportunities for innovation and entrepreneurship among young Nigerians. The group also called for stronger collaboration between government institutions, private sector investors, development partners, and local communities to ensure the successful implementation of renewable energy projects across the country. According to the youth leaders, empowering young people with technical training, digital skills, and access to financing will help build a workforce capable of supporting Nigeria’s transition to a cleaner and more resilient energy sector. They further urged young Nigerians to embrace innovation and contribute meaningfully to national development through active participation in emerging industries linked to renewable energy and green technology. The APC youths expressed confidence that consistent policy implementation, public awareness, and strategic investments would strengthen energy security, improve living standards, and support long-term economic development. They maintained that youth participation remains essential to achieving the administration’s vision for a modern, sustainable, and inclusive energy future that benefits communities across the nation.
