The figures cover only the first six months of the year and should therefore not be treated as the final 2026 totals. Canada’s immigration authorities carry out removals when individuals are found inadmissible or are subject to enforceable removal orders under the country’s immigration laws. In 2025, the CBSA recorded 23,160 enforced removals during the full year, with Mexico, India and Haiti among the countries recording the highest numbers. The latest 2026 figures suggest that removals remain a significant part of Canada’s immigration enforcement system. However, the numbers can change considerably as the year progresses and additional removal cases are completed.
