The revered monarch made the call during a high-profile audience at his palace in Sokoto, where he received the All Progressives Congress (APC) 2027 Campaign Council delegation led by its Director-General, Senator Abdul-Aziz Yari Abubakar, alongside several serving governors and party chieftains.
- A Call for Electorate Vigilance: The Sultan urged voters to listen closely to competing political manifestos and make calculated choices based entirely on what would genuinely serve the best interests of the country and its citizens.
- Hands Off Insecurity: Directing a firm caution toward political actors, the spiritual leader warned against playing partisan politics with sensitive national challenges like insecurity and poverty. Instead, he challenged candidates to center their campaigns on peace, national unity, and tangible development.
