Legal drama has hit the Federal Capital Territory High Court in Maitama after Justice Sylvanus Oriji ordered Jordan Ezenwo Nyesom-Wike, son of FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, to produce his American international passport in court.
The directive comes amid an ongoing $2.1 million land dispute suit (CV/008/2026) brought against Jordan by Safwan Garba GY and GY Global Oil and Gas Nigeria Limited. During cross-examination at the resumed hearing, Jordan adopted his written testimony denying the fraud allegations and claimed he was out of the country on the specific date the disputed transaction allegedly occurred.
When pressed by the claimant’s counsel on which travel document he used for the journey, Jordan confirmed he traveled on his American passport and stated he could present it to prove his whereabouts. Following a formal application by the claimant’s legal team, Justice Oriji granted the request, ordering the minister’s son to submit the passport to the court. In a further procedural move, the court also granted an unobjected application directing Jordan to write his full name and signature five times on plain paper for official forensic comparison.
The court adjourned proceedings for continuation, placing the spotlight squarely on the incoming travel documentation as legal arguments intensify.
