Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde, has officially announced the appointment of prominent grassroots politician Basorun Akinwale Akinwole, popularly known as ‘Wolekanle’, as his brand-new Chief of Staff!
The major political appointment comes barely hours after the sudden resignation of the former Chief of Staff, Otunba Segun Ogunwuyi, triggering a swift cabinet restructuring within the Agodi Government House in Ibadan.
In a dual administrative move, Governor Makinde also appointed Mrs. Aderonke Adedayo as the new Director-General of the Oyo State Due Process Office, adding to her existing responsibilities as Special Adviser on General Intervention and Donor Agencies.
Official confirmation signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Musibau Babatunde, revealed that both high-profile appointments take immediate effect to ensure uninterrupted governance and institutional efficiency across the state.
Wolekanle, who previously served with distinction as Chairman of the Oyo State Local Government Service Commission, brings years of administrative experience and grassroots political leverage to the top executive role.
Governor Makinde congratulated both newly elevated officials, charging them to discharge their official duties with absolute loyalty, dedication, and unwavering commitment to the progress and development of Oyo State.
