In form striker, Victor Osimhen, bagged a hat-trick, taking his goal tally to 20 for the Super Eagles, with Ademola Lookman, Taiwo Awoniyi, and substitute, Samuel Chukwueze, all on the score sheet, much to the glee of Nigerians at the stadium.

With the team already qualified for the AFCON next year in Ivory Coast, they needed just a point to clinch the top spot in Group A, and they got more than a point, as the result saw to it that Jose Peseiro’s side finished top of the group ahead of Guinea Bissau.
