Atletico Madrid went from two goals up to snatching a 4-4 draw in a dramatic and thrilling game against Barcelona in the first leg of the Copa del Rey semi-finals.
The hosts, Barcelona got off to a slow start at as Atletico were already ahead with two.yaols in less than ten minutes thanks to Julian Alvarez’s very quick opener in the first minute and Antoine Griezmann’s second some five minutes later.
Barcelona fought their way back into the game and took the lead before the break courtesy of goals from Pedri, Pau Cubarsi and Inigo Martinez
After the break, Robert Lewandowski made it four for Hansi Flick’s side and it looked like they had run away with all three points, but two quick fire lates goals from Marcos Llorente and Alexander Sorloth in the 84th minute and late into added time saw to it that Diego Simeone’s left with a point, keeping the game open ahead of the second leg.
