Spanish giants Barcelona are reportedly eyeing sensational transfer moves for Victor Osimhen and Erling Haaland as they plan for life after Robert Lewandowski.
According to Now Spor commentator Erbatur Ergenekon, the Catalan club is already preparing its transfer agenda for next year, with a focus on securing a world-class centre-forward.
Barcelona are said to be exploring alternatives to replace veteran striker Lewandowski, whose contract runs until 2026. While the Polish striker has been a key figure since joining from Bayern Munich, the club is eager to bring in a younger forward who can lead their attack for years to come.
“Last season, if they had asked me to make a transfer to Barcelona, I would have said a centre-back,” Ergenekon said, as quoted by Habersarikirmizi.
“A similar process is ongoing. Now we can add a centre-forward to that list. The names of Osimhen and Haaland are being mentioned for the transfer of a number 9 in Barcelona. They will allocate a significant amount of money for the centre-forward position.”
If the reports are true, Barcelona are targeting two of Europe’s deadliest finishers. Erling Haaland, currently at Manchester City, has continued to dominate the Premier League with his incredible scoring record. Meanwhile, Victor Osimhen, who recently joined Galatasaray, remains one of the most sought-after strikers in world football thanks to his pace, power, and precision in front of goal.
Barcelona’s financial situation has improved slightly over the past year, and with key investments expected, the club could be preparing for another major summer rebuild. Fans are already buzzing about the possibility of seeing either Osimhen or Haaland don the famous Blaugrana colours.
One thing is certain — if Barcelona pull off either of these transfers, it would mark the start of a new attacking era at the Camp Nou.
