Finally, the long wait will be over today October 29th, 2020 at 11:11 pm, as Wizkid will be dropping his made in Lagos album. Of a truth, Wizkid’s made in Lagos album is long overdue, as the album was moved from his 30th birthday July 16th, 2020 to October 15th which happens to be the legendary Fela Kuti’s.
But the album didn’t drop as promised, due to the #endsars and #endpolicebrutality protest that was going on in the country, as he was committed all through the protest lending his voice and organizing Nigerians in London to come together to carry out theirs.
You’ll also recall that Wizkid lashed out on his colleague Reekado banks, who wanted to release his song #omoolomo, which he featured Wizkid on, and Wizkid blasted him in a tweet that was later deleted, saying he couldn’t believe that he still wants to go ahead and release the song, with all the protest going on in the country.
Wizkids responds to Reekado created lots of buzz on social media as Wizkid referred to Reekado banks as a fool, which many were not comfortable with.
Well, with the protest going down gradually in the country, Wizkid finally decided to drop his most anticipating made in Lagos album, which he took to his social media platforms to announce that his album will be dropping today October 29th at 11:11 pm. The album is made of 14 tracks, which features top musicians in the industry, the likes of Burna boy, Skepta, TEMS, H.E.R, etc.
Nigerians have anticipated this album for a long and can’t wait for it to drop, as they took to Twitter show their excitement, especially with the features on the album, saying it is already a hit.
