Ex-BBNaija Winner, Efe Addresses reports of being blacklisted by the Show Organizers

There has been reports that the winner of the Big Brother Naija Season two, Michael Ejeba alias Efe was blacklisted by the organizers of the show after his big win.

A media personality, Noble Igwe had earlier alleged that Efe fell out of grace with the show organizers because he disrespected a Multichoice boss.

According to Igwe, Efe “sat in the car and asked for Oga to come first before he comes out.”

Reacting to these rumours, Efe released a statement revealing that he has a cordial relationship with Multichoice Nigeria, organizers of Big Brother Naija. He said that all Noble had alleged never happened and he will never take the platform for granted.

His statement reads:

“This is to address online publications Making rounds about reasons for my noticeable absence from BBNaija events as the winner of the season 2 edition of the famous reality TV show. It is incumbent on me to set the records right and also account to my fans, supporters and well-wishers.

I was brought up in a family and society where respect to a fellow human is highly valued and respect for elders is unquestionable. Unnecessary ego-boosting, protocols, or feeling too much importance have never been attractive to me given my humble background.

Therefore it is unimaginable for someone to conceive such character from me as a person and create a scenario that never existed. Hence I am clearly stating that the instance (scenario) asserted that is making rounds in the media and public is false and never happened or occurred. This is news to me as it is to you.

Let me take this opportunity to thank Multichoice Nigeria as an organisation, and her members of staff once again for giving me the platform to showcase my talent as a music artist. I don’t take the platform for granted. It is a well-cherished investment. I’m immensely grateful and commend you continuous effort in empowering the youths of our great country, Nigeria.

I want to state categorically that I have a cordial relationship with Multichoice Nigeria and we are one family”.

Addressing his absence in BBNaija events, Ejeba pleaded with fans who have been anticipating his performance on the show to exercise patience. He further expressed confidence in a possible collaboration with the show organisers in the future.

Amidst his statement, it will be recalled that Efe, in a song off his “Against All Odds” EP stated that after he won the reality show, he refused to be ‘used’ and as a result, they tried to ‘finish’ him.

In his words; “Man no be God, them for finish us. I win Big Brother, them wan finish me…. I no gree make them use me, them wan evil me. I dey do my best to put in all.

“I’M sorry to my fans wey be expecting more… I dey promise to give you joy, make una no give up.”

Efe released “Against All Odds”, in August 2021 featuring notable stars which include Iceprince and BOJ. He described the project as the most real work he has ever done since he emerged winner of the Big Brother Naija season two show.
