EPL: Man City retains the top spot with a five-star performance
Manchester City bounced back from their disappointing Champions League semi-final with a statement win over Newcastle United, to retain their lead at the top of the Premier League.
The defending champions headed into the break with a two-goal lead thanks to Raheem Sterling and Aymeric Laporte.
After the break, Rodri and Phil Foden increased the deficit to four, before Sterling sealed the victory with a late close-range finish.
The result means City is three points ahead of Liverpool, who drew against Tottenham on Saturday, with three games to go.
