Osinachi’s Family reacts to report of Late Singer’s kids being stranded, raises alarm over Go-Fundme account
The family of Osinachi Nwachukwu have addressed report making the rounds about the late gospel singer’s children being abandoned, likewise reports of the GoFundMe account set up on behalf of the children.
It will be recalled that Amarachi Eze, who is the twin sister of the late gospel singer, revealed that they have been battling many challenges including their inability to pay their rent and cater for the needs of the four children Osinachi left behind.
Some persons without the consent of the family opened a GoFundMe account, which they said was for the sole aim of raising funds for Osinachi’s kids.
Also, Prophetess Rose Kelvin, the general overseer of Shekhinah Glory Ministries worldwide, called out Amarachi Eze for preventing her from helping the deceased children. Prophetess Rose aid she told her employees to contact the family and arrange for them to come to her church and receive the scholarship money in cash. She stated that she was willing to fund the children’s education from primary to tertiary institution. But when they contacted Osinachi’s twin sister, she allegedly began making excuses as to why she couldn’t go.
Amidst the controversy, the family in a new statement released on their behalf by a lawyer, A. A. Paul, expressed their disapproval of the GoFundMe account, denied collecting 32 million naira from the public and reiterated that the children are being taken care of.
The statement reads:
“We plead with the general public to please respect our privacy. We appreciate the public for their concern and love. All her children are being taken care of and we have not collected any 32 million from anybody nor are we stranded or begging the public in any form as regards to a certain GoFundMe account making rounds. Please everybody should be careful so that you don’t get scammed.
The burial arrangement is in progress and we shall inform the general public once we have made full preparation. Please remember us in your prayers as we have seen how far the devil can go but in the name of Jesus, we are victorious and the bible says that the steps of the righteous shines brighter and brighter unto a perfect day that is our assurance.”
