Abia Has Keyed Into The Renewed Hope Agenda – Otti

The Governor of Abia state, Alex Otti has said Abia had keyed into President Bola Tinubu’s ‘Renewed Hope Agenda”.

The Governor made the comment during the inauguration of the 9-kilometer Obehie -Okeikpe Road reconstructed by the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC. He lauded Tinubu and NDDC Management for alleviating the plights of the road users. The project is billed for N3 billion.

This comes as the Governor officially launches the second phase of the project, which runs from Akwete to Azumini and Akwa Ibom State.

Otti, who was represented by his Deputy, Ikechukwu Emetu, expressed joy that the federal road, which had been in poor shape for decades, had now received attention.

The Governor, who claimed to have inherited much infrastructural decay, stated that his administration has begun to change the narrative in accordance with Tinubu’s vision of renewed hope.

He did, however, urge to the NNPC to pay attention to the many unfinished projects awarded by the Commission in various parts of the state in order to ease people’s suffering.

“I want to thank NDDC for a job well done. I never knew you could fix this road any time soon. This shows that the new Management of NDDC is working hard.”

Gov. Otti called on youths in the oil-rich zone to remain peaceful and refrain from tampering with oil pipelines.

Giving a stern warning, he said anyone caught vandalising oil installations or public facilities would face severe consequences from the government.
