Actor and former California Governor, Arnold Schwarzenegger was involved in a multi-vehicle crash in Los Angeles.
Arnold was driving his GMC Yukon SUV and was about to turn onto Sunset Boulevard, about half-a-mile from his home in the Brentwood, when he smashed into a red Toyota Prius at 4:35pm.
The Prius was said to have been making a U-turn in the road and Schwarzenegger was making a left turn when the collision occured.
The accident involved four vehicles and left his black SUV perched on top of another car, leaving one other driver with a head injury and a woman being hospitalised for an abrasion on her head.
A representative of the People said the actor was not hurt.
“He is fine, his only concern right now is for the woman who was injured,” the representative said.
Law enforcement are conducting a full investigation into how the accident occurred. Although no tickets have been issued, one police source said they believed the accident was the fault of the Terminator actor, who was attempting to make a left turn but did not wait for a left-turn arrow at the intersection of Sunset and Allenford Avenue.
“There was a collision about 4.35 on Sunset and Allenford Avenue.
It was a four vehicle traffic collision (and) fire departments and paramedics transported one female to a local hospital with an abrasion to her head.
Neither alcohol nor drugs are suspected as a factor in this and all parties remained at the scene.’ the LAPD said.
It was reported that hours before the accident, Schwarzenegger was seen grabbing lunch with son Patrick, 28, and daughter Christina, 30.
