Actress Etinosa Idemudia bags her first-ever International Award
Nollywood actress, Etinosa Idemudia has won her first-ever international recognition at the just concluded Hollywood and African Prestigious Award.
HAPAwards is a US award that recognizes outstanding individuals whose lives have been marked by extraordinary professional accomplishments. The awards’ fifth edition took place at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles, California, USA.
In October, Idemudia got nominated in the Best Actress Independent Film and the Best Actress in a TV series categories of this year’s Hollywood and African Prestigious Awards (HAPAwards) for her roles in ‘Charlie Charlie’ and ROK TV’s ‘Blood of Enogie’.
Confirming her HAPAwards nomination, Idemudia wrote on Instagram:
“I have just received multiple award Nominations and Invited to Los Angeles CA USA. Thank God my visa will not waste this year but that is not the point! OMG!!!!!!
I am so overwhelmed with joy. For the first time, I don’t know what to say as words cannot express my joy. In every movie project, I give my all and I am so rewarded by the fact that these efforts do not go unseen.
The first award I get from a project is the reaction, joy and satisfaction of my viewers. I appreciate my viewers so much. Everyone who has said “I love your movies” trust me you have given me an award.”
However, following the nominations, Idemudia emerged winner of the ‘Best Actress In a TV series for her role in the Charles Inojie directed ‘Blood of Enogie’.
Other nominees in the category include Dakore Akande for ‘Castle & Castle’ and South African actresses Cindy Mahlangu (‘Kings of Joburg’), Khosi Ngema (‘Blood and Water’).
In reaction to her big win, the actress out of excitement wrote in an Instagram post;
“I won!!We Won!!Best Actress in a TV Series (Blood of Enogie’) amongst other nominations.
I need to emphasize that this is not a ‘majority vote’ kind of award, it is based on artistic and technical merit judged by scholars in California. I consider this a big achievement. I am so excited and grateful. Grateful to the organizers of the Hollywood and African Prestigious Awards and the cast and crew of the Hit series: Blood of Enogie”.
