AFCON: Nigerians react as Shatta Wale accuses them of “lack of support” for Ghana

Ghanaian rapper, Shatta Wale has accused Nigerians of “lack of support” for Ghanian national team at the ongoing African Cup of Nations.

In a recent tweet, Shatta Wale opined that Ghanaians take their time to support Nigeria but Nigerians can’t even support Ghana by watching Ghana matches.

“E be lack of support from these Nigerians make the black stars wan commot so from afcon… Ghanaians take their time to support Nigeria but you Nigerians can’t even support Ghana by watching Ghana matches,” he wrote.

Nigerians couldn’t condone his criticism, so they came at the Ghanian Rapper, blasting him for his judgement;

“Talk talk u started again. In this AFCON every country is on their own. Why must u need Nigerian supporters to win match. Is not by supporters but the system”, Frank Musty tweeted.

“Wetin this guy smoke agn??” @HIT BOY.

“Ghana vs Gabon was the first AfCON match I watched. Na una no try. Bunch of selfish players in your squad”, @PROMIISE

“Ghanaians’ dream is Shattered and they are getting ready to Wa’le. Like if you understand”,@Oluwashola.

“Shatta Wale has had more followers in Nigeria since his outburst, more followers more ads and endorsement and more money”,Taiwo Bolarinwa Orji tweeted.

Good riddance wrote, “Chale, it’s one Africa.. we are brothers. When super eagles wins tomorrow, it’s a win for us all”.

Shatta Wale had started a Ghana-Nigeria Banter after his December concert witnessed a massive turnout at the Accra Sports Stadium. Making boast of the filled up stadium, Shatta Wale berated Nigerians, saying that he sold out the stadium even after people claimed he wouldn’t be able to sell out without Nigerian artistes on the billboard.

His comments did not sit well with Nigerian artistes and Nigerians at large. It even forced Burnaboy to challenge him to a fist battle to possibly help reset his brains for making such judgemental comments.
