AFCON: Super Eagles book Last 16 spot with win over Sudan
The Super Eagles of Nigeria eased past Sudan with a comfortable 3-1 victory to book their spot in the last 16.
Samuel Chukwueze gave the Eagles an early lead just three minutes into play, before Taiwo Awoniyi doubled the lead just before the break.
Simon Moses made a three after the break, and Walieldin Khedr pulled a goal back for Sudan from the penalty spot after Ola Aina was penalised for a challenge.
The Eagles had a fourth goal disallowed but that did nothing to stop Austin’s men who are six points at the top of group D after winning two games.
