Alex Ekubo bags Honorary Doctorate Degree from ISCG Benin University
Alex Ekubo has received an honorary doctorate in Arts and Culture from Benin Republic’s Institut Supérieur de Communication et de Geston University.
The Nollywood actor took to Instagram to share a picture of himself clad in a ceremonial grad gown with the caption, “Introducing, Dr Alexx Ekubo. Thanks to the governing council of the Institut Supérieur de Communication et de Geston (ISCG UNIVERSITY) for conferring on me Doctorate (Honorary) Degree in Arts & Culture”.
He joins other celebrities including Peter Okoye, Mike Ezuruonye and Kaffy that have bagged doctorate degrees from higher institutions in the Benin Republic.
Ekubo’s achievement comes days after his separation from his fiancée, Fancy Acholonu. The couple got engaged in Los Angeles, United States of America and were billed to walk down the aisle in November before they went their separate ways.
Confirming their breakup, Fancy wrote, “Hey guys, I’m writing to inform you all officially that I have ended my relationship, engagement, and I have called off the wedding with Alexx Ekubo.
I’m aware that this may be a shock to many people. I made the best decision for myself because it is important that everyone finds their happiness and live in their truth. At this time, my family and I ask for you all to please respect our privacy. Thank you so much.”
